Requirements for Accreditation & Membership
Prospective members are asked to complete an
Application Form which asks for details of appropriate training and
experience as well as for the names of two referees. The latter are then
required to complete a form reference with regard to their knowledge of the
applicant’s suitability, training, experience etc. All this information is then
processed by a sub-committee of the Executive.
Members are required to renew their membership covenant yearly at which time
they are reminded of the criteria for membership. The importance of having
supervision is emphasised. It is also a requirement that they are still active
in the ministry of spiritual direction as well as being in personal spiritual
direction themselves. Their supervisor and spiritual director are required to
sign the renewal form each year.... more
